You can now get a Taylor Gourmet hoagie before you board a flight. The local chain's 10th location is officially open post-security in Terminal B/C of Reagan National Airport. The shop will be open daily from 6 a.m. to 10 p.m. and serve a pared down menu that includes salads, breakfast hoagies, and traditional Italian, turkey, roast beef, chicken cutlet, and meatball hoagies. Cheesesteaks will be added down the line.
The new outpost is the latest in an airport-wide overhaul that will include more local and gourmet dining options. Ben's Chili Bowl is already open pre-security and will be joined this year by Cava Grill, &pizza, Bracket Room, Lebanese Taverna Grill, Kapnos Taverna, and El Centro D.F.
Terminal A is getting a particularly expansive revamp with restaurants from the likes of Pizzeria Paradiso owner Ruth Gresser, Brasserie Beck and Marcel’s owner Robert Wiedmaier, and ABC’s The Chew co-host Carla Hall. Tables will include iPads that travelers can use to order and pay for their food as well as check their email and flight status.
