spinach-omlet

A holy matrimony of the iron packed spinach and protein timid eggs. This is not a match made in heaven but a match made by a diehard foodie. This breakfast recipe is popular almost everywhere. A speedy five minute trick will set up the mouth watering omelette of all times.

Ingredients:

  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped spinach
  • 1 tablespoon butter or olive oil
  • Water
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon pepper
  • Mixed herbs

Method to prepare:

Break the 2 eggs in a bowl. Beat up 2 tablespoon of water with egg yolk and egg white. Add the chopped leafy spinach in the egg batter. Dust in some salt to taste along with the pepper and mixed herbs. Blend them all together. Set the pan on the gas stove. Toss in a cube of butter or some olive oil. See to it that the gas flame is low or else it will burn the butter or super heat the oil. Once the butter gets all melted or the oil heats up, empty the egg and spinach batter into the frying pan. Cook its one side for 1-2 minutes. Now slowly, flip the other side. See to it that both the sides are cooked until they turn nice golden brown.

It serves one. However, remember to share. Just spare some 15 minutes for this healthy breakfast recipe. Considering it being rich in iron and protein, one could also have it for lunch or on a tired up Monday night for dinner.

Tip Alert: always keep the gas flame on low while putting anything in the pan. Also you could add a little of shredded cheese for a melt in mouth experience.
