This is one of the best Christmas recipe that you can gift someone in those tiny little jars or you could simply stock in some for yourself. So wake up on Christmas holidays with nice healthy yet chocolaty bowl of granola.
Ingredient:
- 250g jumbo oats
- 100g chopped hazelnuts or almonds
- 50g pumpkin seeds
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
- finely grated rind of 1 orange
- 150g dried cranberries
- 100g plain chocolate drops
- organic vanilla yogurt and orange-blossom honey, to serve
Method:
Start by preheating the oven to 180 degree Celsius. While the preheating has started you start by combining the oats, nuts, pumpkin seeds, some cinnamon and salt in a bowl. Then slowly start adding the maple syrup and continue to mix. After mixing, pour the the mixture in a baking tray and make sure that it is spread out evenly. And then let it toast in the oven for about 20 minutes at 180 degree Celsius. All you need is to turn the oats a little light golden brown and not too brown. And then add in the cranberries. Take it from the oven and stir in the chocolate and orange. Let it turn cool and then only store it in a air tight container. The granola will last for about two long weeks.
