The all time, biggest opponent for kids is the broccoli. The kids are creped out by its dark green colour and by its weird shoddy body. Here is a best way to trap your little one into having a healthy veggie. This is a quick version of an Italian dish. The original recipe is too lengthy and very complicated with too many ingredients. However, being a mother you would want to finish the dish as soon as possible. So here it goes…
Ingredients:
- 2 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 chopped tomato
- Vinegar
- Basil
- 1 pound broccoli
- 2 cloves
- Little garlic chopped
- Salt and pepper powder
Take a bowl. Place the chopped tomatoes in it. Pour in some vinegar with basil and olive oil. Its an Italian dish, so there is going to be a lot of olive oil. Now take a pan. Heat it well. After it is enough warm, add olive oil to the pan. Once the oil is warm, add the chopped garlic. Toss it continuously for a while. After a minute or 2 add the chopped tomato in the bowl. See to it that you also pour in the watery juice that is formed. Keep stirring until the tomato juice has reduced to some. Throw in the broccoli with some salt and pepper as per your taste. Cover the pan and let it heat for 10 minutes on a low flame or until the broccoli is tender. Do not overcook the broccoli, because than the broccoli may lose its colour. Serve it in a serving dish with some red pasta sauce.
Tip Alert: you could also add some olives on top.
