Another healthy recipe for people of all ages. The best part is that it is one healthy and yummy deal. You most certainly can’t get yourself out of it. This is a small yet healthy on the go snack. This cheese and oatmeal recipe is jam-packed with energy and nutrients. It’s cheesy and crispy, just the way kids love their food to be.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1/4 cup cheese spread
  • 1 teaspoon cumin seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper powder
  • 1 1/4 cups whole wheat flour
  • 1/4 cup quick cooking rolled oats

Method for preparing:

Take a bowl. Throw in the butter and cheese spread. Beat it well until the batter is light and fluffy. Now add the cumin seeds, black pepper powder, the wheat flour and oats. Squeeze all this gently together until soft dough is formed. Take a lump of the dough and roll it down. See to it that the rolled down sheet is somewhat of 6mm with ¼’ thickness. Take a fork and start pricking in between the rolled down sheet. Now take a cookie cutter and shape it out the way you want. For kids your get a lot of variety right from the ginger head man to stars and squares and Santa clause shapes. However, circle ones are very easy to make. Once the cutting of the various shapes is done, take the baking tray and grease it with butter. See to it that the tray is well greased. Not too much, not to less, but equally. Pre heat the oven for a couple of minutes at say 160o-180o. Place in the cut pieces on the greased trays. Slide in the tray in the oven at 180o for about 15-20 minutes or until the cookies turn golden brown. Remove the cookies from the tray and let it cool. Once it is cooled, stuff your mouth with it and the remaining can be stored in an air tight container.

All in all, it takes some 15-20 minutes time to prepare. And serves some 12-15 cookies at a time.
