How One D.C. Spot Played “Restaurant Week Hell” Bingo

It's in restaurants' best interest to keep quiet about their love/hate relationship with Restaurant Week, but that doesn't stop employees from rolling their eyes behind the scenes during the seven-day promotion that often means uninitiated or deal-crazed diners are filling seats.

One restaurant took it to another level during last week's Restaurant Week by creating a bingo board of the most common cringe-worthy diner requests or statements. In fact, they made one for Friday and another for Saturday because there were enough gripes to go around (plus, one of the boards has a sixth line). But that's not to say all squares are negative—they give positive nods to big tippers and cash payers too. The restaurant shared one board with us on the condition on anonymity:
