All you football fans out there, are you all set for FIFA 2014? LCD TV? Checked. Lucky jersey? Checked. Sauces and dips? Oops! Planning on skipping the dips and chips and switching on to carrots and apples? Or simply planning on hiding yourself in closet from the tempting dips? Or you could simply switch onto some healthy dips by doing it yourself. All you have to do is use smart substitute like low fat Greek yogurt instead of sour cream, honey instead of sugar and coconut oil instead of butter. It is a guarantee, that your dips will get more attention than the game.

ChocoNut Butter Dip

Who doesn’t love the combo of chocolate and peanut butter? Its love at first sight.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 scoop chocolate casein protein powder
  • 2 tablespoon powdered peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon cocoa powder
  • 1 tablespoon chopped almonds
  • 1 tablespoon dried fruit (raisins, cranberries or blueberries)
  • 1/4 cup water

Method to prepare:

Take a bowl. Mix the chocolate casein protein powder, peanut butter powder and cocoa powder together. Slowly add water to the powder mixture. See to it that you add 2 tablespoon of water and stir every time. You can keep adding water as per your desired consistency. Throw in the dried fruits and almonds and your good to go. Server it with low carbohydrate wraps or make your own pita chips. It hardly takes more than 10 minutes.

Spinroom Dip

An even healthier and yet tasty dip with a unique combo of leafy spinach and the solid mushroom. You don’t have to give up on your diet for a match full of chips and dips. Try this strong and scrumptious protein rich dip.

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup cottage cheese
  • 1/4 cup egg beaters or egg whites
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic
  • 1 cup chopped mushrooms
  • 1/2 cup chopped spinach

Method to prepare:

Take a pan and heat it for a while. Once the pan is hot enough, add the chopped spinach and mushroom. Heat the mixture for about 10 minutes on a medium flame or until the mushrooms are tender. Take another bowl and jumble in cottage cheese, the egg whites and the minced garlic. Now add the cheese mixture to the spinach and mushroom and blend it well. Microwave it for about a minute. And enjoy it with rice crackers.

Cocogurt Dip

The game will be incomplete without sweet potato fries. Now the fries maybe a little unhealthy but, turn on your healthy meter by bringing in some low calorie dips.

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup plain, fat-free Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoon virgin coconut oil
  • 1 tablespoon cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoon brown sugar substitute

Throw in the yogurt, coconut oil, cinnamon and brown sugar in a mixer blender until it is smooth. Place it in a bowl. Take its pleasure with baked sweet potato fries.
