The Finalists For The 2016 RAMMY Awards Are…

rammys_header

The RAMMY Awards, recognizing the best in D.C.'s food and drink scene (minus those who aren't members of the Restaurant Association of Metropolitan Washington), are back again.

The finalists were announced last night, and The Source racked up four nominations—the most of any single restaurant—for best upscale casual brunch, top service, employee of the year, and chef of the year. Maketto, Convivial, Osteria Morini, and Rasika all received three nominations each.

To be nominated for an award, a restaurant must be a member of RAMW. That's why you won't see the likes of Rose's Luxury or Komi on this list. Also, places and people who win are not eligible again for the same category for five years.

Most of the winners will be determined by a panel of anonymous journalists, but four categories (gathering place, everyday casual brunch, upscale casual brunch, fast bites) will be decided by the public. Voting begins today at washingtoncitypaper.com/food/rammys. (City Paper is a media sponsor of the awards.)

Take a look at the rest of the finalists below and stay tuned for the announcement of the winners at the RAMMYS gala on June 12.
