What Happened When This Doctor Tried To Go On The Master Cleanse

Juice cleanses may be buzzy in the health sphere, but if you're doing them for the sake of "detoxing," they're actually pretty pointless. After all, our organs remove toxins just fine on their own -- we don't need to "help" them along with any special liquid concoctions.

James Hamblin, M.D., of The Atlantic, certainly agrees. But when he got some reader questions about juice cleanses, he somehow found himself in a position where he was testing out a popular cleanse -- The Master Cleanse -- himself. See how he fared in the video from The Atlantic above. (Spoiler alert: Not very well.)
