Green Pea Corn Soup

Kids love the round greenly peas with a lovely contrast of the grainy yellowy corns. This colourful soup gives a delightful taste. It is recommended to try this when your little one is down with cold. Corns are rich in proteins and the green peas rich in fibre and iron. Seeing its calorie chart, this soup is just perfect for weight watcher.

Ingredients:

·        2 cups green peas

·        1/4 cup chopped onions

·        1 clove of crushed garlic

·        1 tablespoon plain flour

·        Salt to taste

·        1/4 teaspoon chilli powder

·        1 cup boiled sweet corn kernels, crushed coarsely

·        Black pepper powder to taste

 

Method to prepare:

Take a pressure cooker. Add the green peas, chopped onions, crushed garlic, plain flour, some salt and a cup of water in the pressure cooker. Cook it for a while. 2 whistles will be good. Let it cool completely. Open it and let the air surpass the cooker. Then, blend all the ingredients together making a smooth a paste. Now take a pan. Let it heat well. Spray the chilli powder, corn, some salt to taste, a dash of pepper and half a cup of water. Bring these ingredients in the pan to a regular boil. And then slowly add the smooth paste to it. Stir it well. See to it that there are no lumps. Bring it to one boil and turn off the gas stove.  Serve it hot.

Tip Alert: kids love some cream on the soup. So try designing some creamy shapes on the soup. Also you could throw in some toasted bread chunks just to add a surprise.
