You must have started wondering that why isn’t, the age old, all time kids favourite recipe mentioned yet. Well, here it is with a little twirl. The best than the better sandwich! Just imagine some juicy softy stuffing falling out of the cushiony bread loafs. Mouth- watering indeed! As mentioned earlier, this sandwich recipe is with a surprising twirl where it is a healthier version of the regular road side or homemade sandwich. Each bite of this no nonsense sandwich add a bonus to your protein and vitamin chart. So get ready to pile up your bread with these fine looking ingredients.

Ingredients:

  • 4 or 8 brown bread slices
  • 1 cup finely chopped carrot
  • 1/2 cup boiled and slightly crushed green peas
  • 1/4 to 1/3 cup of grated cottage cheese
  • 3 finely chopped onion
  • Some finely chopped green chillies
  • Salt and powdered pepper to taste
  • Butter as required

Method to prepare:

Take a bowl. Add the chopped carrots, boiled and crushed green peas, green chillies, some onion, a little salt and some dusting of the powdered pepper. Mix these ingredients well. Now 2 slices of bread. Spread on some butter and just rub garlic on each of the breads one side only. Once that is done take a lump of the mixture in the bowl and stretch on both the inner sides of the 2 breads. See it to that the bread is not excessively stuffed or else the stuffing will ooze out when the sandwich is grilled. Just add the pile of bread into the grill or the sandwich maker.

It hardly requires any time to prepare, just the grilling time as per your need. It serves 4 sandwiches with 8 bread slice.

Tip Alert: just throw in some mayonnaise for a silky treat.
